Founded in 1928, Mesa Grande Academy is a Seventh-day Adventist K-12 school located in Calimesa California. Mesa Grande provides and open, safe family environment for learning. Although it is a Seventh-day Adventist school, students of all religions are welcome here.
Mesa Grande Academy is home to rad sports teams. From Volleyball (boys and girls), to Basketball (boys and girls), Softball, Baseball, and Cross-Country, students have the opportunity to participate in sports and learn about teamwork. The Mesa Grande sports teams have gone to finals, semi-finals, and regionals, under the guidance and direction of MGA's awesome coaches, one of them being my favorite person, Mrs. Simmons. ;)
At MGA, trips are a large part of school life. Starting in elementary school, numerous field trips are taken each year. In highschool, many trips are taken, such as trips to the Huntington Botanical Gardens, Holocaust Museum, the East coast states for a US History Trip, and Morro Bay for a Biology Trip. Every year, the Choir, Chorale, Handbells and Drama groups come together, and take a Choir Tour to different locations as well.
Fine Arts and Extra-Curricular activities are highly encouraged. Starting from Kindergarten students are able to attend music classes. Later in high school, students are also given the option to join the choir, as well as chorale . The Mesa Grande choir, chorale, and handbells preform nearly ever month at local churches. Mesa Grande also has an exciting drama team and is open by audition to high schoolers from 10-12th grade.
